Amiad - Strainers for irrigation, drinking and process water

Amiad in-line Strainers are a useful low-cost product, mainly used as a precautionary filter in front of a sand filter, cartridge filter or on their own. We recommend them for practically any situation where sediment, grit or rust is likely to be present in the water supply. This includes practically all surface water and cooling water.

Sterizone - Envirozone - Ozone generation systems for oxidation and disinfection

Ozone is widely used by the beverage and bottled water industry for disinfection and is an outstanding method of controlling micro-organisms in drinking, process or cooling water and pipework. Ozone's chemical effects make it useful in many situations including cyst control to meet the Drinking Water Standards of NZ, odour control, iron removal and breaking down organic matter. Ozone is increasingly popular in swimming pool applications, both large and small. Small portable generators are available for deodorization of motel rooms, commercial premises and smoke damaged property.

Filterite - Fluid cartridge filtration

One of the world's major manufacturers of separation products, Filterite have a vast range of housings and cartridge filters for many varied applications in water and industrial liquid or gas streams. Ratings are available from 1mm down to 0.02 microns. Major uses include cyst removal from potable water, particle removal from food and beverage industry process water and sterile filtration for high purity Dl water and bottled water. We supply Filterite cartridges for use in pharmaceutical's, cosmetics and electronics manufacturing, cooling circuits and process water treatment, clarification of paints, coatings, inks, varnishes, oils, greases, resins, chemicals and emulsions. Cartridges are also supplied for coalescing and solids removal from compressed air, hydrogen, nitrogen and other gases.

Freeflo - Backwashing media filters

Pressure driven filtration through backwashable media filters or regenerating softeners is a common treatment in industrial and potable water supply. We design and assemble the Freeflo range of filters using sand, anthracite, garnet, carbon and other media. Flow rates per unit are up to 30,000 Litre/hr in vessels of non-corroding GRP reinforced polythene. Automatic backwashing is standard. The Microlene range includes smaller versions for rural or light industrial use. Filter media for a variety of applications is held in stock including garnet, anthracite, akdolit, ion exchange, neutralising and greensand.

Kinetico water softeners

Contamination Control is pleased to represent Kinetico, one of the world's household names in water treatment. Their twin tank softeners and filters operate without electricity, automatically backwashing on demand with treated water always available. These compact systems are ideal for both town and rural water treatment situations. Commercial filtration products include the backwashable 5-micron rated Macrolite media, a unique ceramic product capable of very fine filtration, deionisers and reverse osmosis systems.

MIOX - On site oxidant generators for water disinfection

All the things that make chlorine unpleasant for both the operator and the consumer are eliminated using the MIOX Mixed Oxidant chlorination system. Along with chlorine (hypochlorous acid) the MIOX system produces chlorine dioxide and ozone. The mixed oxidant is dilute, safe and ready for use. The rapid acting ozone and chlorine dioxide react with organic material before the chlorine can. The result is a chlorine residual that can be measured but not tasted. MIOX kills the cyst Cryptosporidium when used instead of chlorine in swimming pools. MIOX is an exciting technology providing powerful disinfection in complete safety. Hypochlorite only generators are also available from MIOX.
